Tri-Star Design's family of portable communication software products provides a full featured implementation of important DS1 and DS3 protocols and procedures. It provides a cost-effective, feature rich, quick solution for any equipment manufacturer that needs to add DS1and DS3 interfaces to its products.
In addition to the DS1 and DS3 software product line, Tri-Star Design is now offering Integrated System Infrastructure Software (ISys) Embedded Middleware. The software provides embedded and real time system developers with commonly needed System Infrastructure Software such as Event Logging, Interprocessor Messaging and Extensible Command Line Interface.

Tri-Star Design's Portable DS1 and DS3 Software can be trivially adapted to any standard real-time kernel, or can easily run in a simpler, "polling-loop" environment. The package provides largely autonomous generation and processing of all DS1and DS3 events and line procedures, and it collects, classifies and stores all important statistics.
It is portable, and independent of the Framer, so it is usable for any system in a customer's product line, and will be reusable for future products. The Software, together with a simple framer device driver, provides a complete software solution for the DS1or DS3 interface. It is substantially less expensive than the equivalent software engineering effort. All major US standards are supported, enabling the customer to have a carrier-certified DS1or DS3 product in a much shorter time period than is possible with a homegrown engineering effort.

ISys provides a package of system software 'middleware' for developers of embedded and real time systems.
